1. What does an Anchor Point do?
   
   Anchor points determine whether a line segment will be a curved or straight. You can have straight anchor points or curved anchor points. Curved anchor points consist of direction lines that can be manipulated to change the shape of the curved segment by {Clicking} on the direction points that are at the end of each direction line.
   
2. What does a Direction Line do?
   
   A Direction Line affects the curvature of a line segment.
   
3. Can the Pen Tool be used to draw Shapes? If so, How?
   
   Yes. Make sure that the Shape Layers option is selected in the Options Bar for the Pen Tool.
