1. What are the main advantages of Layers?
   

   The main advantages of Layers are flexibility and editing options. You can change the order of Layers, make them visible or invisible, add new Layers, delete existing Layers, and you can select a Layer and edit only the contents on that particular Layer.

2. If a Layer is titled Background what does this indicate?
   
   That the Layer is locked and no other Layers can be placed beneath it until it is renamed.
   
3. If two Layers are linked together and you reposition or move one of the linked Layers, does the position of the other Layer change as well?
   
   Yes.
   
4. What does Locking a Layer's pixels do to a Layer?
   
   Locking the Layer's pixels will allow you to reposition the content of the Layer but not change or modify the pixels themselves.
